When I was growing up, I never had to help out around the house.
- My parents both worked and brought in adequate income to spend my savings for a grass crew, cleaning company and swimming pool maintenance.
They hired out just about every loft improvement, maintenance and maintenance task. After school, I moved into an household complex with all sorts of amenities. I had access to a swimming pool, sizzling tub, fitness center and game room. If I had any issues with the garbage disposal, washing machine, cooling system or any of the multiple appliances or systems, I simply called the maintenance department. I didn’t even need to change lightbulbs. I eventually got exhausted of throwing away my money on rent and decided to buy my own home. While I have a task in my chosen field and there’s great option for upward mobility, money is still a bit tight. The mortgage on my new loft left no room in the budget to hire everything done. Taking care of my own loft and household has been a immense learning experience. I am unquestionably thankful for google. I had no idea that the aerators on faucets could clog and diminish water pressure. I have watched videos on how to disaffix the back of the panel of the refrigerator and vacuum out a buildup of dust. I read up on how to correctly maintain a boiler and cooling system. I wasn’t even aware that each system was equipped with an air filter that needs to be correctly upgraded. I’ve taught myself how to scrub the condensate drain, evaporator coil and condenser coils. I’ve figured out how to drain the water heater, clear out the gutters and downspouts and scrub air vents. I correctly test the smoke alarm, carbon monoxide detectors and check the batteries in the temperature control.
