My AC Unit Froze

If I could go back in time, I would go back to last yearand leave my AC system alone, when I was convinced that the temperature was going to remain cool every day, I turned off my AC unit as well as turned on my furnace! I had been meaning to call the Heating, Ventilation as well as A/C company to come tune my Heating, Ventilation as well as A/C system before making the switch, but I forgot as well as I was running the heat with the hopes that nothing would go wrong, then thankfully, nothing did go wrong with my furnace, so I decided to bypass the Heating, Ventilation as well as A/C tune up as well as wait until the Spring, and just when I thought that the weather was going to remain cold, my pal and I experienced a few afternoons where the temperature spiked above 77 degrees.

It was tepid as well as the inside of my home was tepid despite opening the doors as well as windows.

Instead of sticking it out, I turned on my AC unit as well as tried to cool my home. This is where things went wrong because only a few hours into running my AC unit again as well as I noticed a big amount of water around my condenser unit. When I took a closer look, I noticed that my coils were frozen, however the heat from the sunshine was causing them to melt. I called the Heating, Ventilation as well as A/C company instantly because I didn’t know the usual way to handle the frozen coils. The Heating, Ventilation as well as A/C professional told me that I’d set the temperature control too low, causing the coils to freeze immediately. I wish I would have left my AC unit alone!
