Nice day ruined

I don’t know what it is about me, but every single time I think I’m going to have a good day, I get just the opposite.

  • It’s not like I go into most days expecting greatness, in fact, I generally have a uniform sense of dread surrounding my daily life.

There are just a few days a month that I actually think I have something to look forward to, and somehow those are my worst days ever. Explain this to me. Last week, I was scheduled to have a day off of work in order to meet up with my best friends and go shopping. The weather was warm and sunny, and I had no reason to expect anything out of the ordinary. On my way out the door, it happened. There was a loud bang, crash, sound that erupted from my air conditioning unit. I ran outside to find that the whole cooling system was clicking and steaming. It did not look pretty. I went back inside and checked the thermostat, to see that the AC system had completely gone offline. At that point, I realized it wasn’t going to be a quick departure from my house. I called the nearest HVAC company and tried to explain my problem to them, but the line kept cutting out. Finally, it seemed as though the HVAC technician dispatcher was sending someone my direction, and I sat down to wait. I just cancelled all my plans with my friends when the heating and cooling specialist pulled into the driveway and sauntered up to the door. That’s when I got my next piece of bad news; in all the confusion, they had sent out a heating specialist. It was two more hours before an AC technician even arrived.
