I don’t know what it is about me, however every single time I guess I’m going to have a great day, I get just the opposite.
It’s not like I go into most afternoons expecting greatness, in fact, I generally have a uniform sense of dread surrounding my daily life.
There are just a few afternoons a month that I honestly guess I have something to look forward to, & somehow those are my worst afternoons ever. Explain this to me… Last week, I was tied up to have a day off of work in order to meet up with my best friends & go shopping. The weather was warm & sunny, & I had no reason to expect anything out of the ordinary. On my way out the door, it happened. There was a loud bang, crash, sound that erupted from my air conditioning unit. I ran outside to find that the whole cooling system was clicking & steaming. It did not look pretty. I went back inside & maintained the thermostat, to see that the A/C system had completely gone offline. At that point, I realized it wasn’t going to be a quick departure from my house. I called the nearest Heating, Ventilation, & A/C supplier & tried to explain my problem to them, however the line kept splitting out. Finally, it seemed as though the Heating, Ventilation, & A/C worker dispatcher was sending someone my direction, & I sat down to wait. I just cancelled all my plans with my friends when the heating & cooling specialist pulled into the driveway & meandered up to the door. That’s when I got my next piece of exhausting news; in all the confusion, they had sent out a heating specialist. It was two more hours before an A/C worker even arrived.
