Remembered it was a rental home

Have you ever been staying anywhere else for so long that you start to forget it isn’t your real home? I’ve been on the road for so long that sometimes this is exactly what happens to me.

I notice that I start getting a little lazy about my cleanliness, or stop closing the door when I go to the lavatory, and suddenly, I realize how rude I’m being, as well as reign in my bad behavior for my own home.

Well, this wasn’t exactly the outcome this past weekend when my associate and I stayed at a rental house… instead my associate and I took full advantage of our temporary living situation. It was the middle of the day, as well as the temperature outside was about 72 degrees. Inside, the home was feeling lovely. There was sun as well as fresh air streaming in from all the open windows, as well as creating a actually attractive breeze that flowed through the whole home. My enjoyable friend and I were all feeling quite comfortable as well as commenting on the delightful temperature indoors as well as out, when someone swiftly stood too close to an air vent. “Wait… is the heat on?” they asked, with fantastic trepidation. The whole room froze. My enjoyable friend and I all looked around at the various open windows as well as then at the air vents that surrounded the kitchen, then for a moment, pretty much everyone began to shift towards the temperature control, as their adult responsibilities overcame their lust for the lovely fresh air. “Wait!” I said, “It’s a rental! My enjoyable friend and I aren’t paying for the electricity!” Everyone chuckled as well as breathed a sigh of relief – repeating the phrase “we aren’t paying for the electricity” quietly to themselves with joy as they sat back down.
