Dog is superb excuse for heat

Every time that I’m feeling quite low, I have one thing that really cheers me up.

It’s not a trip to Starbucks for a crappy sugar-coffee or a shopping extravaganza at the local Target.

No, when I’m in need of a pick-me-up, I grab straight for my sweet puppy for an intense cuddle in her sizzling fur. I shouldn’t say that he’s a puppy, really, because that’s the farthest thing from the truth. In fact, my little neighbor is particularly rapidly approaching her 11th birthday at this stage. He’s just as sweet & adorable as every, despite her status as a cranky ancient lady You wouldn’t know she was so ancient if it wasn’t for her long, slow groans & cute pale white face. It also helps that I labor so hard to keep him healthy & comfortable, I suppose. My pal and I go on long hikes every afternoon & her comfort is my strongest motivation. That’s why I’m cheerful my buddy and I share the same condition; being continually cold, but both she & I are officially covered in shivering skin. I officially get chilly & gain goosebumps when a draft blows by. My sweet cat, on the other hand, suffers from a perpetually chilled nose & ears, & officially shakes from moderately chilly hot & cold temperatures. I try to keep him wrapped up in blankets & have stooped as low as buying him a jacket, but she still doesn’t seem warmer. I feel terrible for him, however I’m cheerful that we’re in the same boat. It makes our sizzling hugs & snuggles all the most enjoyable, & besides, it gives me a superb excuse to run the central heat at home when my spouse is being uppity about the energy bill.
