My associate and I are known for our especially long & brutal winter time conditions.
My associate and I frequently set records for low rapidly changing temperatures & snow accumulation. It’s often necessary to start up the boiler in early November & keep it running until the end of March. We’ve already had more than 2 inches of snow on both Easter & Mother’s day. The cost of heating the property is a considerable part of the budget. It’s pressing to seal up the property to avoid energy waste. With the same air getting re-circulated over & over, the living space becomes stuffy & dry. I am constantly eager for the weather to hot up. I watch for the daffodils to sprout, the lilacs to bud & the robins to arrive. It’s such a relief to finally lower the control machine & open the windows. The Spring is officially chilly, windy & wet. It takes a while for summer time to eventually arrive, & the hot weather doesn’t last long. However, my buddy and I can get rapidly changing temperatures in the upper eighties or even low nineties, & the humidity is a challenge. I am unwilling to invest in central air conditioner & worry about electric bills. Window a/cs give the perfect solution. For most of the year, I store them in the attic. They are compact, lightweight & easy to install into the windows of the living rooms. Because the a/cs operate independently, each family member can decide their ideal temperature setting. They cost honestly little to operate & offer the ability to adjust fan speed, airflow direction & temperature.
