I was over for dinner when I noticed my mother-in-law’s heating equipment making a weird noise.
I asked her about it, and she complained that she had been using a lot of money for the repairs, and her heating technician did not give her a lasting solution.
I also noticed the wireless thermostat kept going on and off. After dinner, I asked Mum if I could check on her heating device since I was an experienced HVAC serviceman with the leading heating businesses. We booked an appointment for the end of the week since that was the only day she would be at the house. However, two days she called me in a panic because the electric heater had broken down, and she could not bear the cold. Fortunately, I was not working that day, so I rushed to my mum-in-law’s house with my colleague. We ran comprehensive heater maintenance, which revealed a series of issues. After further assessment, we established that the unit was beyond repair. I called the local HVAC supplier and requested they deliver a new electric heating system. Removing the old unit and fitting in the new one took a couple of hours, but mum was kind and offered us hot cocoa with freshly baked donuts after we wrapped up the work. We opted for HEPA filters for the new heater and fixed the regulator to show the correct readings. My colleague left soon after since he had other engagements. Mum requested that I become her HVAC professional as I understood her indoor comfort needs and how to work her new electric heat pump. She was very pleased with my job, and I knew I had scored more points than her.
