Finding the right wireless thermostat

For the past five years, we’ve wanted to upgrade our heating system from a boiler to something cleaner and more energy efficient.

We did research and window shopping, but that was an exhausting and confusing process, mainly because we wanted a smart thermostat too.

When we finally installed the new electric heating system, the heating technician cut off our older dial-up thermostat and replaced it with a wireless one. The wireless thermostat was further connected to the electric heat pump via WIFI, allowing us to control it through an app on the app. The HVAC professional explained that the older thermostat was incompatible with the new heating device, hence the need for a change. The changes were easy because the HVAC serviceman knew the type of heating equipment we were buying from the heating business, so they brought every additional part that would be compatible with the electric heater, including the HEPA filter. We love our electric heater because the bills remain manageable, and it’s mostly silent so we can work from home without distractions. While the thermostat has made the heater work more efficiently for our needs, we’ve also kept up with heater maintenance which the HVAC supplier who did the installation has been handling. It might seem easy just to Google these details and seek advice online, but it’s even simpler to let the HVAC experts take over and offer guidance on suitable devices. Our thermostat, for example, was affordable and came with a 2-year warranty. If you have to buy it at another store, then asking for a buying guide from the store can help your HVAC technician guide you on the best model and size to buy because they are most familiar with your home’s heating system.
