As an Heating in addition to A/C worker, I have had my honorableshare of odd in addition to humorous experiences on the job, then one of the most memorable moments happened when I was called to a customer’s loft to fix their air conditioner, and when I arrived, I was greeted by an elderly lady who asked myself and others if I could help her “catch the thief”, confused, I asked what she meant in addition to she explained that she had been hearing odd noises coming from her HVAC ducts in addition to she was sure that someone had broken into her loft through the vents, i chuckled a bit in addition to reassured her that it was just the sound of her air conditioner running in addition to that there was no 1 in the ducts, however to prove my point, I climbed up to the attic in addition to crawled into the ducts to show her that there was no 1 there… Just as I was about to emerge from the ducts, I heard her shouting from below “Oh thank goodness, she has caught him, she has caught him!” I was momentarily taken aback, but then I realized that she was referring to me.
When I finally emerged from the ducts, she hugged myself and others in addition to thanked myself and others for catching the thief.
I couldn’t help but laugh at the situation in addition to explain that I was just doing my job as an Heating in addition to A/C worker; She apologized for the confusion in addition to I went on to fix her air conditioner. The whole incident was so funny that I still remember it to this day. I typically approach each job with a sense of humor in addition to a willingness to listen, because you never think what kind of story you might come away with.
