My house is a rotten mess.
My dad doesn’t like coming over at all but my mom will come over at times. She’ll bring me meatloaf or various snacks just to see me. We catch up a bit in person as she isn’t quite a phone person. In a way I wish she was but I love seeing her and if it makes her day then I’m all for it. I think my mom comes over because she likes to do whatever she can to help me. If she sees dishes or laundry that needs to be folded she would jump right on it. Maybe because I’m her only child she goes above and beyond for me. She knows I’m always home as well because I work from home so she can basically stop by any time and see me. Sometimes it’s a nuisance but I can make a little time for lunch or whatever. My dad won’t come over for the exact reasons my mom does when she comes over. He hates filth and he considers me to be a dirty person that takes advantage of my mom. I never ask her to do anything but she does it anyways. I’m not stopping anyone. He says my house stinks and I need to do some air purification. He says I should call the HVAC company to send out an HVAC technician to see what can be done. I’m only assuming the air filters need to be cleaned and I’m really hoping nothing died in the vents. I understand that he doesn’t like to stop over so I never get upset but we meet up sometimes for dinner without mom. That’s how we communicate besides the telephone.
