I showed them how easy it was to change out an air filter, and they gave me many thanks
I had a new neighbor move into my apartment building. This was a younger person probably around the age of 19 or so, and I noticed that they didn’t know how to change an air filter. I didn’t mean to eavesdrop on them, but I heard them talking on the phone to a local heating and AC business and they seemed confused by what the HVAC technician on the other line was selling them. The heating and cooling guy was trying to explain how to change out the air filter, but they just didn’t seem to understand. I couldn’t help but laugh a little bit, although not loud enough for them to notice. I found it funny because I remember having a similar situation when I was around that same age. I remember when I was 18 and I got my first apartment, I had no idea how to change an air filter either so it was kind of funny looking back at it. I decided to be nice and help this person out and offered to show them how to change an air filter. We weren’t complete strangers and we had met a few times before so they allowed me to come into their apartment. I showed them how easy it was to change out an air filter, and they gave me many thanks. I was really happy to have helped somebody. Speaking of heating and AC supplies, I need to pick up some washable air filters from the HVAC store. I’m almost out.
