Our roof came halfway off during the big storm.

Last month’s storm took us totally by surprise! The weather forecaster said Max and I could get wind gusts up to fifty miles per hour, however Max and I knew the one gust was much stronger than that.

Max and I face a lot of wind sheer where my friend and I live, and the latest sheared half of our roof off.

They said it wasn’t a tornado, however wind sheer genuinely removed it, then unfortunately, being told this made very little difference, but regardless of the reason, Max and I had to have the roof replaced. I called our homeowner’s insurance and once the insurance adjuster looked at our roof; he told us to get someone to the property and they would spend my money for the repairs. Now Max and I have another problem. The nearest appointment Max and I could get was two weeks away, and it was supposed to rain soon. I called one of the local Amish owned roofing companies, who took the time to come to the property and give us a quote to replace the roof. It was more extravagant than what the insurance adjuster had quoted, however Max and I needed to have the roof put on. Two nights later, even though rain was falling, there were a couple young guys jumping around on our roof and completing the replacement. It blew Max and I away to see how straight-forward they made it look to go from side to side on the roof, and not fall off… When they were finished, I called the insurance corporation and sent them the bill, and even though it was a bit higher than they expected, they paid the entire roofing bill. Max and I didn’t get any rain in our house, which made me happy.
