My fiance Sam and I had recently invested in a rental property.
When Sam and I bought the house, it was in enjoyable condition, however things changed when some of the local punks thought the property was abandoned and started throwing rocks through the windows.
Even though what the kids did was savage, I was once a kid who had siblings with a lot of extra energy. The only thing Sam and I could do was get someone to give us a quote for window replacements and door replacements throughout the building. I called one local corporation, and they offered to go to the building. They said they would meet Sam there the following Monday at 8 AM. Sam was working, so I went in his stead. When the person from the window replacement corporation showed up, he looked right at me and asked where my fiance was. I told him he could talk to me about window replacements, however he didn’t act like he really wanted to talk to me. I explained Sam was working, and he asked if there would be a better time for him. I laughed. After explaining to him that Sam and I were a partnership, and if he couldn’t talk to me, I would look elsewhere. He hastily became a lot more chatty. Although his pricing for window and door replacements was reasonable, Sam and I made the decision to go to another corporation. Sam didn’t like it when people acted like I was just a stupid lady when I diagnosed our company decisions. The next window and door replacement corporation was cheaper, and they were easier to work with.
