Home warranty can cover HVAC replacement cost

As a homeowner, you are always concerned about the upkeep of the house. There are certain tasks that need to be performed regularly to make sure that the house remains in great condition. Not to mention that the equipment and appliances inside the house need to be maintained as well. After all, if neglected, those equipment and appliances can lead to thousands of dollars in repair costs. The one saving grace when it comes to high repair costs is purchasing a home warranty. Most home warranty will cover any damages to the house as well as to the appliances inside. So, if you’re like me and you own an older home with older appliances, it’s good to have the extra coverage. Therefore, if the refrigerator, washer and dryer, dishwasher or HVAC unit breaks down, then the home warranty would potentially cover the cost of replacing the appliances. And given that the HVAC unit is one of the most expensive items inside the home, it’s just a wise idea to have a warranty that would replace it if needed. A warranty plan costs between $60 and $100 per month depending on the terms of the plan. If you need to replace an HVAC unit, it would cost between $5,000 to $12,000. Personally, I would rather pay the small warranty fee because it gives me peace of mind knowing that the cost of my HVAC unit will be covered if it needs to be replaced. And of course, that is true for the other appliances in my home as well. I’d rather have the coverage than having to pay out-of-pocket for any broken appliances in my home.
