I find it so easy to simply not pay all that much attention to all the stuff that is actually taking care of me in my everyday life.
- And that has to stop.
Too often, I’m just counting on the heating and cooling equipment to always work or the car to always start. But I’m not holding up my end of the bargain as much as I need to. So this Spring, I’ve recommitted to being sure that I’m taking care of the stuff that’s taking care of me. The cars all got tune ups and oil changes. I’m on a weekly schedule now with the lawn. Actually, doing the lawn is something that’s good for the property and good for me as well. I get a work out and then I love coming inside to drink so cold iced tea and soak up some cooling comfort from the heat pump. And when it comes to that heating and cooling equipment, I’ve had to step up my game there as well. No more can I forget to change the air filter for the HVAC equipment. I’ve been really inconsistent when it comes to the air filter. But that’s changing this Spring as well. I’ve got a system in place now where I get reminders to change that air filter. And I went to the home improvement store to buy a full case of air filters so that’s not an excuse either. When it comes to the HVAC maintenance on the residential HVAC, I have that covered as well. I called up the HVAC company we’ve used since we moved here to sign up for the HVAC service plan. This now takes making the HVAC maintenance appointments off of me. The HVAC company now takes care of all of that so I don’t have to remember.
