Why do I change out my Heating & Air Conditioning air filter?

Furthermore, a clogged filter can lead to disappointing air quality, not to mention higher energy cost

There is a famous adage that goes, “Out of sight, out of mind” & this couldn’t be more true. Personally, if something is not directly staring me in the face, I tend to forget about it. This is why I depend so much on my cell for reminders. Honestly, I am not quite sure what I would do without my cell. I set my birthday reminders, doctor’s appointments, family events, dinners & random service tasks. For example, I consistently forgot to change my Heating & Air Conditioning air filter because it was never something which was high on my priority list. Not to mention that the air filters are hidden inside the Heating & Air Conditioning unit, so it’s not something that I look at every afternoon. And since it’s out of sight, it’s never on my mind, & will therefore get overlooked. Before I began using my cellphone as a reminder to change my air filter, there were many times that I wouldn’t change it for close to a year. And if you know anything about a central Heating & Air Conditioning unit, air filters should be changed every 90 afternoons. It is necessary to change the air filter every 3 months because if the filter gets clogged it could cause a lot of wear & tear on the Heating & Air Conditioning unit. Furthermore, a clogged filter can lead to disappointing air quality, not to mention higher energy cost. I have avoided all of these nagging issues ever since I began setting a reminder in my cell! Other devices like Siri & a smart temperature control can help with this as well, then use whatever works for you, however no matter what devices you use, it’s wise to set a reminder & change your Heating & Air Conditioning air filters consistently.
