For some reason it feels like everything in my body is disintegrating.
For instance, the right eye is not seeing clearly especially at a close range, not to mention that I also have the flu.
As if that is not enough, I also have issues with both shoulders which have been happening for the past few years. I had a few dislocations that happened repeatedly, and for three months now, an MRI of my knees shows that there is no more cartilage left. This has been contributed by the years of playing volleyball. Currently, it is the right elbow that has been hurting and this is said to be the tennis elbow. However, the ironic bit is that I do not even play tennis. I guess when you hit 60 years, your body begins to show signs of failing especially if you have been athletic for over 5 decades. My dad, who was an AC tech, got me enrolled into wrestling when I was barely 6 years old, where I began competing at other schools. In fact, these competitions were held in air conditioned halls, and although I got disfigured a few times due to the brutality of the game, I still didn’t quit. Besides wrestling, I also engaged in other athletic activities including; long distance cycling, beach volleyball, street fighting, and skydiving. Working as an HVAC professional continues to prove to be tougher these days because of the injuries I’ve sustained throughout the years. While I am prepared to slow down with the taxing athletic hobbies, I still plan to keep working for the heating & cooling company for another six years before I can slow down or even retire. I believeI have it in me to push for at least a few more years especially if I stop with the other activities. I plan to slow it down with volleyball too and put my focus on my drumming and singing as part of the band. I have worn over several hearts especially when I was younger and it is now time to in my day as well as when my time minimizes the goals on my list and focus on what matters more.
