The outdated lodge that we stayed in while on our trip only had baseboard heating and nothing else.
When I say nothing else, I mean it! There were no ceiling fans, no fireplaces, no air conditioner units, and no other sources of gas heating.
I was entirely thinking that it was a venue that was much more current than it entirely turned out to be. When I booked the lodge it seemed like it was going to be a lot different than it entirely turned out to be. I wasn’t thrilled with the fact that the baseboard heating was the only type of heating and cooling system unit in the lodge, however at that point there was nothing else that I could do. We had this venue booked for a long time and there was nowhere else for us to go because it was the busy tourist season right then. We knew that we wanted to stay at the lodge because it was an entirely cool venue to be. It was a fantastic location and it was right next to the river where we were planning to fish and hang out. I think that it would have been nice if we both had something other than the old baseboard heating to heat the lodge though. The baseboard heating worked well enough, however it wasn’t entirely even throughout the lodge while we were there. There were lots of freezing spots here and there and the temperature was pretty freezing the week that we were staying there. We had to keep the control equipment turned up pretty high the whole week because otherwise the temperature in the house would have gotten way too cold.
