In my most humble opinion I have to state that I feel smart thermostats of this week are a bit on the confusing side; Sure they may be great for younger folks that embrace all this advanced heating and a/c technology that is with us this week, however, for me a smart thermostat just didn’t do it and made my life and my central heating and a/c system much more complicated than it had to be, however i actually could not benefit from the smart thermostat as others do with saving on energy use because I rarely go out of the condo for a long phase of time because I am long retired from working.
So for me, a great old fashioned dial thermostat or even a more modern but older digital thermostat is what is meant for me and what I use, that is what I have known most of my life and there is no point in me struggling with a smart thermostat to learn it because I will not get any major benefits from it like other may because like I said, i’m retired and do not leave my condo undoubtedly much.
I ended up getting rid of the smart thermostat that I tried and went out and purchased an old college dial thermostat… Once I put that into my central heating and a/c system things were much easier once again and I was able to get back to normal with things when it came to using my central heating and a/c system unit! I will do this the rest of my life as long as I can.
