My sister kept telling me about the modular kitchen her husband bought for her. I couldn’t figure out why anyone would want a modular kitchen unless you were planning on going to carnivals, or other places like that. She told me I had no imagination. She was planning on using the modular kitchen as an outdoor kitchen. During the summer and when she was canning or making jelly, all the heat would be kept outside, and she wouldn’t be suffering in the kitchen. I thought it was kind of silly, considering she didn’t do a lot of cooking, but she also talked about going to carnivals. I asked what she would be cooking at carnivals. She told me she had no intention of cooking, but her husband might. He had been talking about getting a modular kitchen and making his world famous potato pancakes for the fair. I tried to tell her that everyone who was at the fair, had their version of a potato pancake, but she wasn’t listening. She said no one made potato pancakes like her husband’s. Personally I thought his potato pancakes were greasy and tough, but who was I to say. I told her good luck with her and her husband’s potato pancakes, and I hoped the modular kitchen gave her the ability to keep cooler in the house. She stopped me and asked if I didn’t want to use the modular kitchen. I told her I didn’t like cooking enough to want a modular kitchen, especially if I had to travel to use it.
