I never thought that someday I would be considering the purchase of an affordable tiny home. I remember when I was kid, and I would go to the church campground with my grandmother. There were tiny houses in neat little circles. There was a bathroom with a shower, two small bedrooms, and sitting room with a small kitchen on the first floor. I sometimes wonder if that isn’t where the idea of a tiny home came from. You had all the comfort of home, but in a smaller version. I always felt comfortable and safe when in that tiny home, but I never thought I would be considering purchasing an affordable tiny home and living in a tiny home community. The first time I was in a modern tiny home, was when I was dating a man who ended up being a very good friend. After going to the movies, he invited me back to his house where he prepared dinner for us. I felt claustrophobic looking at the house from the outside, but once inside, I started remembering the tiny home at the church campground. I didn’t feel claustrophobic, and I couldn’t believe how roomy it was inside. I couldn’t afford to buy a house, but I couldn’t live my parents the rest of my life. Apartments were too crowded with all the all the apartment dwellers. Now that I’ve discovered affordable tiny homes, I think it could be an option for my living situation. I even enjoyed being around the people who lived in the tiny home community.
