Today is the first day of Summer plus also the longest day of the year. The sunshine sets here at 9:29pm plus it isn’t dark till 10pm, which makes it difficult to get to bed at a great hour like I was doing all winter. I know that is the only downside of summer, but the rest of the stuff makes up for that downside. My friend and I get to play volleyball as much as we want each day separate from worrying about it getting dark, plus usually I am not home till 11pm most mornings we play. My air con system will be running each day from about 11 am till 5 pm, which is when it is heating up the most each day, making my flat a furnace if I am not running the weather conditions control system. It is a honestly efficient system though plus if I run it each day like that it only costs me about $50 extra each month, a small price to pay for being comfy all day. I purchased the small unit a few months ago so I would not freeze my flatmate out when I was cooling down my room at night in the month of March, and she is a heating plus cooling company plus she thought I was nuts for running the a/c when outside it was still in the 50’s at night. To each his own, right?
