There is a heating and cooling magazine that I was just recently interviewed for.
The magazine wanted to interview my dealers because of the many food locations that I own! Having 15 unusual store locations demands a lot out on keeping track of our heating and cooling units, however making sure that each and every 15 heating and cooling systems are up-to-date and are maintenanced respectfully is a large task.
The heating and cooling magazine asked how do my buddy and I manage the maintenance side of our heating and cooling systems. I told them that my buddy and I have a great staff in the office that keeps track and uses a log to write down what was done to each and every heating cooling system when our contracted Heating and A/C supplier works on them. My good friend and I also have a log that notifies us when my buddy and I should be reaching out to our contracted heating and cooling supplier to ask the supplier if our systems should be updated or not. According to our heating and cooling supplier he has told us that any component that has over 12 years old should be updated. He has also stated in the past that it is actually sparse that any component over 12 years old should not be updated. If a component does not need to be updated it’s honestly because there has been exceptional maintenance done and the component has hardly ever broken down. He strongly suggests units over 12 years old be updated because heating and cooling technology advances every few years, making them actually energy efficient. I would not be able to maintenance and keep current with my heating and cooling systems if it wasn’t for the Heating and A/C suppliers and my office staff.
