I’ve never owned my own dwelling before.
I recently graduated from school plus between all my schoolwork plus unpaid internships, I didn’t have enough money to buy a dwelling instantly.
Instead, I’ve been living in a one study room dwelling for the past 2 years, trying to save enough money for a downpayment. My sister is a few years older than me though plus she just bought a home. It’s a great dwelling in a lovely location plus the value of the dwelling will only go up in the future. I helped transport her things in plus I’ve been going to her dwelling for weekly dinners; During our last dinner, I commented on how moderate it felt inside. I asked her if she could adjust the thermostat settings down a few degrees, but she insisted that it would not do anything. I assumed she was deflecting the conversation, but she continued on to tell me that she’d tried decreasing the temperature a few times plus it didn’t help cool her dwelling significantly… Even though I never owned a dwelling before, I knew this wasn’t right. If you adjusted the thermostat, the temperature should change. My dwelling wasn’t much smaller than her dwelling plus if I adjusted the temperature by a single degree I could tell a difference. I asked my sister if she was going to get her Heating plus A/C system maintained by a professional, but she hadn’t made an appointment yet, however before leaving her dwelling that night, I provided her the phone number to a few local Heating plus A/C companies so she could have her Heating plus A/C system maintained before things got worse.
