Discovering high velocity heating plan

As the owner of an older apartment that lacks conventional HVAC duct, I’ve spent years struggling with temperature control.

I live in an area where the winters are brutally cold and summers are excessively overheated and humid.

It’s impossible to maintain a comfortable living space with space oil furnaces and window a/cs! However, I was unwilling to gut the residence down to the bare studs in order to install HVAC duct; A few years ago, I discovered high-velocity temperature control. High-velocity systems utilize mini ducts that are just multiple inches in diameter. The ducts are skinny and adjustable enough to fit in between studs in a wall, between ceiling rafters and accommodate plumbing pipes and electrical outlets. The supply and return vents are also much smaller. They are round, unobtrusive and allow freedom of location. The installation is non-invasive and less expensive. There’s no need to tear down walls, rebuild or disinfect up a immense mess. With a high velocity system, overheated or cool air moves from a compressor or heat pump into an air handler that sends the conditioned air through the ducts and vents at a genuinely high rate of speed. Because of this, the air circulates and mixes suddenly. The plan achieves desired room temperature with shorter running times. It provides excellent temperature control and uses less energy to operate. Plus, the mini ducts are insulated to prevent energy losses. Although high velocity systems don’t allow for zoning, I’m just ecstatic to have centralized temperature control. The plan easily handles severe local weather, doesn’t detract from aesthetics and has allowed myself and others to get rid of my assorted collection of oil furnaces and portable a/cs.
