I believe I’m taxing of hearing, however I’m not so bad that the words are indistinguishable.
I have hearing aids to help me, plus I wear them all the time.
I periodically forget to take them out when I go to bed. Last week, the HVAC business came to the beach house to labor on our heating system, and she showed me her badge when she walked in, plus I showed him to the heating system. My partner wasn’t beach house from labor yet, so I hoped she would stay scheduled long enough for him to talk to him, an fifth later, the HVAC business came upstairs plus started talking to me. I couldn’t understand a word she was saying, plus she was talking so fast it was even worse. I told him to rest down plus my partner would be here in two hours. She sat down, however she was still talking. I asked him to wait plus tell my partner what she was trying to tell me, plus I pointed to my hearing aids. She got frustrated plus said something about prejudice, plus I picked up the phone. I had a phone that printed out what the woman was saying. I told the HVAC supplier that I had frustrated their HVAC business because I couldn’t understand him plus told them I was deaf… While I was on the phone, my partner walked in the door. After a couple of hours, the HVAC business was laughing, plus she soon left. My partner told me the HVAC business had a Spanish accident, however once she knew I was deaf, she was no longer angry.
