I think I’m strenuous of hearing, however I’m not so exhausting that the words are indistinguishable. I have hearing aids to help me, and I wear them all the time. I sporadically forget to take them out when I go to bed. Last week, the HVAC corporation came to the apartment to labor on our gas furnace, then he showed myself and others his badge when he walked in, and I showed him to the gas furnace. My husband wasn’t apartment from labor yet, so I hoped he would stay tied up long enough for him to talk to him! An hour later, the HVAC corporation came upstairs and started talking to me. I couldn’t understand a word he was saying, and he was talking so fast it was even worse. I told him to kneel down and my husband would be here in two hours. He sat down, although he was still talking. I asked him to wait and tell my husband what he was trying to tell me, and I pointed to my hearing aids. He got frustrated and said something about prejudice, and I picked up the iphone. I had a iphone that printed out what the person was saying. I told the HVAC supplier that I had frustrated their HVAC corporation because I couldn’t understand him and told them I was deaf, and while I was on the iphone, my husband walked in the door. After a couple of hours, the HVAC corporation was laughing, and he soon left. My husband told myself and others the HVAC corporation had a Spanish accident, however once he knew I was deaf, he was no longer angry.
