Stick to the HVAC professionals

It’s really sort of been a one two punch to our finances.

First, we had to leave the commercial HVAC of our respective offices to work from home in our own air conditioning.

And for that pleasure, we also both had to take a pay cut. This sent us straight into carving up the household budget to find money to make ends meet. We targeted the HVAC costs during the summer and got a lot more strict with the thermostat. That saved us a bunch of money. And the fact that we were cooped up inside the air conditioning of our home kept us from spending money on entertainment. So when we both got back to the zone controlled HVAC of our offices and returned to our full income, we thought we were set. But of course, here came the incessant inflation that has plagued us for the last 18 months or so. That’s how we are once again reining in the spending in our home. But there are limits to that. For example, we really thought about ditching the HVAC service plan. We thought that maybe we could just rely on maybe a handyman for repairs and maintenance. But just saying that out loud sounded utterly absurd. We’re all for cutting costs but not at the expense of some as essential as the quality heating and air of our home. For that, we will always stick with the HVAC professionals. I can’t imagine not having the HVAC company take care of our heating and cooling needs. So that’s one part of the budget that appears to be written in stone.
