We wanted to transfer the television to the other side of the room, but there wasn’t an electrical outlet on that side.
We contacted our sibling to see if he could help with that.
Our sibling is a licensed electrical expert. He works for a business in town, and always helps us out when we have concerns in the house. We bought an older condo with more faults than we expected. Half the time the furnace doesn’t work and during summer time we were having problems with the central AC. When we wanted to move the tv around, our sibling said it wouldn’t be a huge issue at all. He could run some wiring from another outlet and set it quite easily. The only complication was getting to the electrical equipment behind the drywall. Our sibling detached one large piece of drywall. The electrical wiring was further down the wall than she expected, so she had to remove another section of the wall. Most of the wall was detached before our sibling completed the electrical project. He took all day when he said it was going to take an hour max. We thought the condo was going to be a mess for days, but it honestly wasn’t that tough to put the drywall back up. We added some spackle and paint and it was tough to tell if the wall had ever been detached. Now we can move the television to either side of the room and that means more possibilities for seating in that room.
