The heating and A/C unit at the art university has been on the blink for the last few weeks.
I go there for a painting class every week, and so whenever there is an issue with the heating and cooling system it is certainly noticeable.
Only a couple of weeks ago, before the weather started cooling down, I noticed that the air conditioning plan was not working consistently. Normally that would not be a large deal, however the painting classes are usually held in the same room as the kiln for the ceramics class. Whenever they have the kiln up and running, that room gets to be so sizzling hot that you would not believe it. I believe the temperature in that room was in the high 90s on that one day. I remember walking in and it felt like I was walking into a furnace. Normally, that would not have been a large deal at all, however that was because they constantly turn the air conditioning on during the painting class. But on that day, the air conditioning plan wasn’t working and so the two of us all felt like we were gonna melt the whole time that we were trying to paint. It was so hot in there that the paint would not even dry, it just stayed liquid, which was certainly weird. Anyway, now the air conditioning is fixed, but we are having trouble with the furnace. If all of the classes could be held in the ceramics room that wouldn’t be a large deal I guess. They could just turn the kiln on and use it as a furnace.
