I enjoy living in a lovely apartment complex in the city.
It’s an upgrade considering the small studio I called home when I first moved here.
There’s nothing as taxing as going around a new city trying to find a place to live. I only had a few days to find a place, move in, and report to work. So, I hit the ground running while staying at a small motel that I found online with good services and security. On day 3 of my search, I came across the tiniest studio that was expensive, but in a safe and clean area. I moved in two days later, and the next day I reported to my new job. Last year, I finally managed to move to a better apartment in a nicer area, and it even has a well-functioning HVAC system. In my previous studio, there was one summer I had to find a store and purchase a portable AC because it was too hot. We did have air conditioning coming from the vents, but it wasn’t enough. The same issue happened during winter and I would always work harder so I’d move to a better place. Now, I can say I live in the best two bedroom apartment, and it has a reliable HVAC system. The only thing the building manager said I had to handle was replacing the air filter. Since that was something new, I went on YouTube and found a video that helped me learn the process. I’ve replaced the air filter three times since moving in and I love it.
