I just started my task about 2 months ago, then i have learned a lot of unusual things, but most substantially I have learned what to do plus what not to do in our building.
For example with our office control unit, there a lot of the coworkers who are legitimately stringent on when people change the temperature on the control unit, the reason for this is that the building gets legitimately humid especially in the summertime… Now since we’re getting into somewhat warmer weather, the building gets legitimately humid.
The building is about 100 years seasoned plus I can tell that the humidity really impacts our productivity, and people sometimes get lazy plus don’t want to work, people compare plus complain about their hair frizzing, but and worse, sometimes there’s condensation that collects on the windows plus recently we have had water harm plus some slight organic growth on our walls. All of the floors in our building are wood floors plus the walls are greatly impacted by the unusual temperatures plus humidity levels. I have learn that at least three pints of water can hold in a cubic foot of wood flooring that’s at 60% of humidity. A lot of humidity can impact building joists, studs plus finishes on walls. This can cause cracks plus long-term harm. I believe that within the next year there’s going to have to be some serious renovations done in our building due to all of the humidity that my pal and I have. To combat this issue, our boss has installed multiple dehumidifiers to help with the humidity. Personally I do not assume the dehumidifiers are enough, I assume our boss should reach out to a local heating plus cooling specialist to see if there’s anything more that my pal and I can do to minimize the humidity.
